"Gevara Punks Racing Team" is a brand new rally team of Gevara and the duo of Benas Šimkus and Vaidas Paulikas. The team started their rally journey in the Lithuanian Rally Sprint Championship in 2023.

2022 The birth of the "Gevara Punks Racing Team" materialized unexpectedly as the duo of Benas Šimkus and Vaidas Paulikas were seeking sponsors, but their working relationship ultimately led to a rally partnership.
Gevara, as a transport company, has long been interested in motorsport and had a dream of having a racing team that would showcase the energy of transport punks and serve as an excellent team-building activity for the entire Gevara corporate.
WINTER RALLY AUKŠTAITIJA 2024
In the north-astern region of Lithuania, in Zarasai, where the winter cold of 2024 embraced 325 lakes, January 26-27 turned into the epicenter of Winter Rally Aukštaitija 2024. As promised, the event became a marvelous winter day, filled with the performance of sports cars and speed. The sunny day created a fantastic atmosphere for both rally fans and participants.
With the unapologetically authentic support, Gevara's fellow team members gave their Guevara Punks Racing Team their support in abundance. This year, we were the first in line to open the competition and there was certainly a sense of excitement. For the team, these were the second winter races in the rally sprint championship.
Last year, in the absolute standings of the Lithuanian car rally sprint championship, Winter Rally Aukštaitija 2023 resulted in the team securing the sixth position. This year, there was a desire for significantly higher results. The victory in this category was only 41 seconds away. We were surpassed by the young talents - Markas Buteikis and Klaudas Bučinskas with their BMW MKR, so congratulations to them on their victory, and we thank them for the competition! Of course, we genuinely rejoice in achieving the second place. The punk team finished 1 minute and 45 seconds ahead of the Latvian brothers Alvis Fjodorovs and Uldis Fjodorovs driving a Subaru Impreza, who finished third in the stage.
In the fastest Lithuanian rally sprint OPEN class, the Gevara Punks Racing Team duo had no equals. Benas and Vaidas, with their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, confidently secured the first position on all 8 speed sections, surpassing all eight of their competitors and winning the class.
Winter Rally Aukštaitija 2024 remains unique not only because of the four speed sections during the day but also due to the tradition of night speed sections, where teamwork becomes a crucial foundation for achieving the highest results. We are convinced that Benas and Vaidas have reached the highest level of mutual understanding. The essence of all competitions is the idea that winning is not the sole objective. It is a rebellious journey towards victory, and a true celebration for the entire Gevara team.
Winter Rally Aukštaitija 2024" was an excellent practice that enriched our team's competition experience. We eagerly await the next challenges, already planned for the month of May.
